Tetanosul este o infectie bacteriană telurică produsă de bacilul tetanic, fiind favorizată de prezenta plăgilor murdare. Tetanosul apare prin contaminarea plăgilor cutanate cu pământ ce contine spori.

Semne si simptome:
-plaga necicatrizată devine uscată
-dureri surde si parestezii
-plaga cicatrizată devine dureroasă si sensibilă la frig
