Astigmatismul este reprezentat de anomalia curburii corneei. Un ochi astigmat are corneea ovala, spre deosebire de ochiul normal, a carui cornee este de forma rotunda.In cazul ochiului astigmat, razele luminoase se focalizeaza in puncte diferite in fata sau in spatele retinei, ducand la deformarea imaginii.

Semne si simptome:
– dureri de cap
– incruntare
– oboseala oculara
– ochi uscati
– sensibilitate la lumina
– vedere neclara in anumite ocazii
