Abrazie dentara reprezinta un proces patologic de uzura dentara si se caracterizeaza prin pierderea lenta a substantei dure dentare.
Cauzele aparitiei sunt:
– obiceiuri vicioase (fumatul pipei, deschiderea sticlelor cu dintii, roaderea unghilor, etc.)
– lucrarile protetice cu duritate mai mare decat cea a smaltului poate determina abrazie la nivelul dintilor de partea opusa
– consistenta crescuta a alimentelor
